Baby Heartbeat!!!

So I haven't been feeling good these past few days and all the nausea from last week went away abruptly, but my stomach has still been cramping/hurting to the point where I get very little sleep b/c anyway I lay down it hurts.

Finally this morning, I seriously thought I was going to pass out.  I call my PCP and they said my symptoms might be an UTI.  I'm like 'seriously?  what?'.  So they tell me to call my OBGYN, which I had not seen yet.

I got an appointment this afternoon.  We went in and it's a super super busy place.  Pregnant women everywhere!  My weight hasn't changed much, but I know my distribution of it has, b/c I can't fit into any of my pants anymore.

We do an abdominal ultrasound and she first measured 6 wks 4 days then again at 7 wks.  According to my last menstrual period, I should be 7 wks 2 days.  So everything looks good there.

The baby's heartbeat was 160 bpm, which was also very good (from what I've read online).

She then goes on to tell me she found a little bit of old brown blood in my vagina and then throws the words out 'Threatened Miscarriage."  Now I'm like 'holy heck, what is wrong, I thought we were good."

I have never spotted, nor had any blood during my pregnancy.  So I'm pretty sure it's either trying to scare me or she just talks about everything that 'could' happen.

She wasn't really that nice.  I have another appointment for nov. 11th, so we'll see how that goes.  I'm hoping she is much nicer and I'm also hoping everything is wonderful with our baby!

I didn't get any baby photos, she didn't offer.  I guess next time I will just bluntly ask, b/c I want those!

7 weeks!

Today I am 7 weeks pregnant!  I'm very anxiously awaiting for the next 2 weeks to quickly pass by for our first doctor's appointment.  I'm hoping we get to hear a heartbeat and see an ultrasound!!!  I think I can already see myself growing some.  I tried to breathe in and usually I would have a flat stomach when I do that, but now it's not totally flat.  I have tried to wear my pants and jeans, but they no longer fit.  So I'm hoping these are all good signs of a healthy pregnancy.
